Our Impact

“We measure our business value in terms of impact created, not in terms revenue generated”

Udaya Kiran Reddy Vasepalli

LoopTas thus achieves concrete sustainable results through keeping the product in the cycle which means more reuses leads to more sustainable with least carbon footprint. With LoopTas you make impact, in three ways,

“Reuse should be the first choice, not recycle”

Save a million
shopping bags

Wherever you go shopping or order food online, you either get paid plastic bags or free paper bags. Paper bags are never reused after the first use, and the ban on free plastic bags since 2016 has pushed us to pay for plastic bags whenever we need them. Every Dutch citizen uses an average 245 shopping bags per year. That’s 3.9 billion in total. That is a lot and also unnecessary. With Looptas’ circular reusable system, we take used bags, clean them, and put them back into use.

Support coastal communities
around the world

Our partnership with a Canadian-based organization called “plastic bank,” which has ethical recycling ecosystems in coastal communities (like Haiti, Brazil, Indonesia, the Philippines) and reprocesses the materials for reintroduction into the global manufacturing supply chain. Communities are compensated for the materials they gather, which allows them to better fulfill basic family necessities like groceries, school tuition, and health insurance. Collected material is reborn as Social Plastic®, which is then reintegrated into LoopTas.

Much less
carbon footprint

Under normal circumstances, fossil fuels are used to produce virgin plastic and trees cut down for paper. We at Looptas use already produced and discarded plastic, especially collecting ocean bound plastic waste called social plastic. Basically, these materials have lower carbon footprint plus more re-use of bags leads to a much lower impact on the environment.
